Trollbeads History

Trollbeads were first created in 1976 by the Aagaard family in Copenhagen, over the past 30 years the trollbeads family has grown incredibly, but still maintains its’ core values, of creating gorgeous, individual charm jewellery.

Every single little bead in the trollbeads range has been is designed to tell its’ own story; taking their inspiration from astrology, cultural diversity, fairy tales, fauna, flora, mythology, and in the familiar things of everyday living.

There are over 200 different beads for you to choose from, including different symbols, flowers, animals, zodiac signs, colours and materials giving you endless combinations and variations, making trollbeads both unique and personal.

Each bead can then be used to add to your trollbeads necklace or bracelet, to create your own individual, compelling jewellery. You can start your trollbeads collection with just one bead or be bold and begin with a range. The beads can then be strung on a gold or silver chain as a bracelet or necklace – giving you endless possibilities on how to wear your trollbeads jewellery.
